It’s Movin’ Day!!!!!!!!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We’re so excited we can hardly contain ourselves!
We awoke this morning with smiles on our faces.
A huge jerk even totally cut me off today, only to poke along at 5 miles under the speed limit…and even that couldn’t steal my joy away!…
…not today…no siree!
Ikea Furniture
We took apart one of our beds last night.
Ya know, things from Ikea are pretty sweet looking, but they’re like stabbing yourself repeatedly to put together and take apart.
We did pretty good though, we each only got hurt once. It was at the exact same time though so the sound effects were amazing!
Raising Cane’s
This is by far the best line we’ve ever heard when pulling up to a drive through window.
“Welcome to Raisin’ Cane’s Chicken, what chicken are you pickin’?”
I don’t know why it was so hilarious to us, but we just laughed, we couldn’t say anything, or order, we just laughed.
And then we were too embarrassed to continue on, so we just sped away past the window as the man gave us a dirty look.
We then continued on to McDonalds where we had an encounter with by far the meanest man we have ever met. He starts to hand us the two icecream cones we had just ordered, and we simply asked for 2 cups and 2 spoons because we like to dump the cone over in the cup. He just stared at us, then turned around, and then dumped the two cones in the trash. We had no idea what he was doing.
He returned shortly with two cups filled with icecream. We didn’t want this either. So Britt told him that we wanted a cone and then a cup separately. He stared at her with the “I’m going to kill you and I hate you” face…then turned around and came back with two empty cones. Still not what we wanted, but whatever, clearly he didn’t get it and he was pissed.
It was the last straw though when Britt asked him for two spoons…I thought he was gonna lose it on her right there…seriously, like climb through the window and tear her face off.
All About Our Evening…
…cuz we’re sure you wanna know!
Well, we started things off with a bang. We had a date set with our Insight Communications Technician for 5:00pm-6:00pm last night. He was coming to retrieve his little box (apparently you don’t get to keep it when you cancel your cable service, or the remote). We were on time, actually we were going to be a few minutes early. Well our technician was more punctual than most, so he ended up waiting for us at our apartment for about 20 minutes. We were kinda pissed, cuz now we did not have any time to “pick up” before he got there, and we couldn’t remember for the life of us what we had left laying around that morning.
It wasn’t too bad though, just some clothes spilling out of the laundry room, preventing us from opening the front door all the way, and some cups surrounding the tv. O…and we totally meant to dust that box off, but like we said, he was early.
The worst part was when he had to run back down to his truck to get a wrench and he couldn’t get the door open because it was stuck, so it gave him time to notice the sign taped to the door that read:
“Es, you better leave your rent money here!”
How embarrassing! The good news was it gave us ample time to run into the back bedroom and yank the cords out of the wall in case he wanted those too, so he didn’t have to go back there and drown in the sea of clothes.
So once he left, we realized we were without cable tv, and it sunk in that we were bored. So we started packing. It’s amazing the things you find. We found an entire bag of trash just stuck in the coat closet. We figured someone must have been coming over on short notice. Then we cleaned out all the cabinents. You don’t even wanna know all the things we found in there! Man, we found clothes, food from 2 years ago, money..it was fun! When we were done we had 5 trash bags and alot of boxes, which we then took down to the dumpster. They were really heavy though, so we had to drag them on the floor, and about halfway through one of our bags started ripping and macaroni and cheese and dog food started spilling out…we don’t even have a dog!
Then we were still bored, so we played cards with the cards we found. We played, war, egyptian rats, old maid, golf, and speed. And then we were still bored, so we drove around, and then went to McDonalds and Tim Hortons.
It was a lovely evening!
BEWARE…again!
Priscilla has officially received a real, as in completely ligit, Ohio driver’s license.
The roads are no longer safe…seriously.
This is the girl who drove a golf cart into a lake…
…she does however drive sort of like a grandma, so watch out for people going too slow.
This has been a public service announcement brought to you by Brittany and Mary.
Buzzzzzzz
There’s this little fly that was flying around the car today.
All the windows were open, but it just wouldn’t leave.
It was really annoying.
It has begun..dun dun dun!
We started cleaning the kitchen last night in preparation for our move…
…it was terrible. It took two and a half long, strenuous hours of scrubbing. Cleaning sucks.
And we haven’t even begun packing.
Lord help us all!
Apology
We would like to publically apologize for the somewhat fuzzy pics we have been posting. We realized it makes us look like we are new to the “blog scene” and don’t know what we are doing (which we don’t), but we don’t want people to think that!
We will do better from now on!
On a side note, Brad Stawicki is very funny.
Today Britt and I were having a short laugh at my desk, when Brad walks in and goes, “O sorry we’re you having a meeting?” To which we proceeded to die laughing.
What a funny boy!
Mortified
I think there is an actual disease where you deliberately make up problems or have bad things happen to you because you want attention.
Well I think the people at the Geek Squad are convinced I have this disease. I dropped off my camera for the 6th time yesterday to be “repaired”. I am officially on a “first name, hey what’s up” basis with them. It’s embarrassing. Now a few times it has been my fault that my camera was broken. But, in my defense, that’s a fragile little thing and it doesn’t take much.
But I just got it back a week ago, and went to use it the other day, and it just wasn’t fixed. I definitely did not break it again.
Anyways, by the grace of God I got a different guy then I always get..so I thought I was home free…of course not. Just as he’s is pressing all the buttons on my camera (like they always do) the dude I always see walks by and goes, “what’d ya do, break it again?”…to which I replied, “no, you just didn’t fix it right.” He said yea right.
I’m so over broken electronics.
The BEAST
So last night we ventured out to the dam to “sprint” up the hill a few times with Paul and Brad.
It didn’t sound like it would be very hard….
but it was.
We thought we could do it alot, and then Paul was like, “probably only 3 or 4 times”…which didn’t sound like alot….but it hurt like a mother!
We made it all 4 times though…congratulations to us!
