Family Vaca
So we got back from St. George Island yesterday…I miss it already!
I decided I definitely need to be living on a beach somewhere…but it’s true what they say..there really is no place like home!
tiCkS
Yesterday…I saw a tick.
It was horribly awful. Don’t get me wrong, spiders/creepy crawlies make for one awful day…but there isn’t anything like the thought of something burrowing into your body and sucking your blood and never ever coming out!
That thought alone is enough to scare the hell right outa ya!
The message: Be afraid of the ticks, they are satans soldier
IMPACT!
camp is next weeeekkkk!
If you’re not going…you should be!
Thats all!
Polaris Pythons
Paul and Sean decided to start a softball team and join a league, so Britt and I decided that we were gonna be the coaches! Our team is gonna be awesome, and were totally gonna win!
We had a practice on Sunday and although it was freakin hot, it was still unber fun!
SOOOOOO, if you wanna check out out mad skills, our first game is Sunday at 6:00pm, at Olentangy high school on Lewis Center Road! Be there or be retarded!
Untraceable
So, I agree to go ahead and rent the movie Untraceable, which Brittany picked out.
I don’t like scary movies, but I do like dramas and suspense..that sorta thing.
Well, this movie was flippin’ scary, to me at least, and Brittany falls asleep on me. So there I am, left all to myself, shaking with fear while Britt snoozes away. The worst part was I talked to her for a solid ten minutes about how I would never watch a movie like that again before I ever realized she was asleep.
So thaks so much dear for watchin’ that with me!
RememberThem
We rarely get a chance to see another country’s editorial about the USA.
Please read this excerpt from a Romanian Newspaper. The article was written by Mr. Cornel Nistorescu and published under the title “C”ntarea Americii (meaning “Ode To America”) on September 24, 2002, in the Romanian newspaper Evenimentulzilei (”The Daily Event” or “News of the Day”)
~ Why are Americans so united? They would not resemble one another even if you painted them all one color! They speak all the languages of the world and form an astonishing mixture of civilizations and religious beliefs.
Still, the American tragedy turned three hundred million people into a hand put on the heart.
Nobody rushed to accuse the White House, the army, and the secret services that they are only a bunch of losers. Nobody rushed to empty their bank accounts. Nobody rushed out onto the streets nearby to gape about. The Americans volunteered to donate blood and to give a helping hand.
After the first moments of panic, they raised their flag over the smoking ruins, putting on T-shirts, caps and ties in the colors of the national flag.
They placed flags on buildings and cars as if in every place and on every car a government official or the president was passing. On every occasion, they started singing their traditional song: “God Bless America!”
I watched the live broadcast and rerun after rerun for hours listening to the story of the guy who went down one hundred floors with a woman in a wheelchair without knowing who she was, or of the Californian hockey player, who gave his life fighting with the terrorists and prevented the plane from hitting a target that could have killed other hundreds or thousands of people.
How on earth were they able to respond united as one human being? Imperceptibly, with every word and musical note, the memory of some turned into a modern myth of tragic heroes.
And with every phone call, millions and millions of dollars were put in a collection aimed at rewarding not a man or a family, but a spirit, which no money can buy.
What on earth can unite the Americans in such a way? Their land? Their galloping history? Their economic Power? Money? I tried for hours to find an answer, humming songs and murmuring phrases with the risk of sounding commonplace.
I thought things over, but I reached only one conclusion…
Only freedom can work such miracles.

Humane Societies
yea, the one in Franklin County can suck the big one for all I care!
Don’t let the signs fool you, they really don’t care that they have 13,000 dogs come through their facility a year and that they uthenize half of them. If they did then they would have given two sweet little animal lovers like us a dog.
BUUUUUTTTTTTTNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!…They treated us like trailer trash who wanted to adopt a million dogs and then beat them senseless. I have never met more trashy, rude, classless people in my entire life…and make no mistake, the employees of that shelter are solely responsible for the deaths of those homeless doggies because they have them locked up in there tighter than national security and apparently u have to be some sort of dog prodigy complete with references to even look at one! Well guess what Franklin Humane Sociey…SCREEEEWWWWW YOU!
We got our own dog from PETLAND! the nicest, most cutest store in the whole world…and yes, the dog cost more…but guess what?..you treat something better that you paid for, not something that is given to you, so I am now a proud supporter of PET STORES…NOT SHELTERS!
Unless it’s a Mary and Brittany Shelter, which by the way, we plan to open one day!
Hmmm, somethin’ to ponder
Last night we sit down to indulge in some wonderful American Idol & Real World when we see a Ford commercial…basically the idea is that his car is so cool, and he talks to it, and it obeys his every command.
The guys says, “Car, call my wife…let’s find out what’s for dinner.”
Now, I never really read into things like this or think twice about it, but it would seem to me that some feminist out there would be pretty offended by this Ford commercial just assuming that the wife is cooking dinner and that it’s gonna be there ready when he gets home…and for Ford to do that seemed kinda weird to me.
I would like to add that I will be the first one to admit that I am no feminist, and in fact I don’t like them all that much. I think it’s ridiculous to say that a woman can do everything a man can do, because she can’t. And that’s not a bad thing, it’s just what it is. There are just some things that men do better and there are also things that women do better, and that’s just how God made it. I don’t find it demeaning to women at all to say this, man and women are both very different and have both strengths and weaknesses. Maybe a women could run our country, but it is my opinion that a man should, or at least could do it better.
Ok, I’ll shutup now, cuz I’m prob gonna get a bunch of feminist hate comments.
My BrO is a pretty cool cat
